I'm helping my good buddy Victor Cajiao rebrand the Typical Mac User Podcast website. I first started tackling the album art for his Podcast, which is on the iTunes Podcast directory. After multiple concept sketches, I wound up with the finalized version above.
Well, since I never received an acknowledgement or reply from Kurtz or Kellett with reference to the e-mail I sent them with this illustration, I'm posting the guest-art I created for them up here.
This is a work-in-progress. I've always wanted to try my hand at inking someone else's pencils. After our latest collaboration, I asked Brandon McKinney if he may have any penciled drawings laying around that I could practice digital inking with. Lo and behold, he was able to supply me with the awesome penciled sketch you see above. I'm still playing around with the inks - and will add colors etc. But here's where I'm at so far...
Thought you may enjoy these... Brandon McKinney created a really cool pen and ink sketch. My task was to add an inked version of my 'persona' into the drawing, and add the colors to the piece. This piece needs to be lettered - when it's fully complete, it will serve as an announcement poster for the next Art Institute of Tampa SequA meeting.
I've been slammed with school related activities, so I haven't been quite as diligent in posting sketch updates as I would have liked. Anyway, here's the sketch from PCW #1003.
